Reasons a Mac Application Won't Start. If you've been running the app that won't start for a while successfully, and now it won't start, something changed. There's a chance a file became corrupt because of a system crash, or the app may need to be updated. The Adobe Application Manager has been downloaded as part of the process but after starting it the application does not want to initialise. I am running the AAM on my iMac with Lion 10.7.4 installed. I had Adobe Creative Suite CS5 on my system before, which I completely de-installed.
